Welcome to HURIFO

Human Rights Focus (HURIFO) is a Ugandan civil societal, non-governmental, non-partisan, non stock, non racial, non-religious and non-profit making human rights organisation established in 1994 with a country-wide mandate. HURIFO's head office is located in Gulu district northern Uganda.

 

Since its inception in 1994 HURIFO has championed the cause of human rights in the conflict affected the northern Uganda, a region whose people have experienced gross human rights violations and untold sufferring.

 

This has been done by working closely with the community at various levels to raise the level of their awareness on human rights, and be able to stand up and defend their rights as well as of other victims or the less privileged.
